Semestre 2

The Geology 1 module, designed for first-year (common core) students, aims to provide fundamental knowledge in Earth sciences.

It addresses the internal structure of the Earth, geodynamic processes, plate tectonics, and natural phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanism. 
It also introduces the main geological disciplines, including stratigraphy, paleontology, mineralogy, petrology, and geophysics.

The course is delivered over 15 weeks and combines theoretical instruction with practical work, including an introduction to geological and topographic mapping.

This module constitutes a fundamental basis for further studies in geology.
