Course description. Simple English for land-use planning and risk management. In this course you learn the basic English words and short sentences you need to talk about a territory, its hazards, risk maps and planning rules. We work step by step, with pictures, maps, videos and simple exercises.

Target audience. Master 2 students in Risk Management and Civil Security (Land Use Planning), Department of Geography and Land Use Planning, University of Batna 2. No advanced English is needed: we start from the basics.

General aim. At the end of the course, you can use simple English to describe a place and its hazards, read a simple risk map, explain basic planning rules and write a short site visit report.
